Shaping A Typical Child’s View of Disability

January 17, 2011

Probably the greatest impact a children’s ministry leader can have is by helping children see themselves and each other through the eyes of Christ.  Few topics yield the opportunities for insightful conversation like those related to disabilities and differences.  The online blog for ParentLife Magazine is running my article today sharing how parents can answer a child’s questions about someone with special needs.  It is in these early conversations that we can help shape a child’s view of disability…and our value in Christ.  Check out ParentLife’s blog post:  Talking about Differences

How are you talking about special needs and disability with typical children?
