Last year I was honored to teach a workshop at the 2010 Accessibility Summit at McLean Bible Church.  This is an outstanding event for parents, community leaders, and churches who have an interest in promoting special needs inclusion.  This year there will be 10 church focused workshops.  The list of workshop presenters is stellar – as I am personally familiar with Jackie Mills-Fernald, Dr. Jim Pierson, Connie Hutchinson, Barbara Newman, Jolene Philo, Harmony Hensley, and Amy Kendall.  This is an all-star cast of information providers.  In addition, Dr. Temple Grandin is the keynote speaker.  For churches who are in the process of building inclusion programs or who are ready to take their ministry to the next level, I highly recommend McLean Bible Church’s Accessibility Summit!

  1. The 2011 McLean Accessibility Summit has CLOSED registration! As of February 24th, 2011 this conference is already filled beyond capacity. This gives great evidence of the growing need for special needs education in churches!
