Nominate a Special Needs Champion to Win a Trip to The Orange Conference!

March 29, 2011

The Orange Conference is arguably the largest and most influential gathering of family ministry leaders in North America.  While The Orange Conference has offered special needs related ministry workshops in previous years, they’ve kicked it up a notch for the 2011 event.  This year the conference will have a total of seven high-quality workshops and breakouts devoted to special needs inclusion.  To learn more about the special needs focused sessions, click here.  Nothing has made me more proud and excited than to regularly check the conference website and watch the registrations move these sessions toward capacity.  Yes, in fact, our faith communities and the organizations that equip them ARE recognizing the need to accommodate and spiritually advance the student with learning differences.

Now for the even better news AND how you can help…

The Orange Conference is running a competition from now through Thursday, April 7th at 5pm.   The ReThink Group (the team behind The Orange Conference) is inviting people to submit the name and story of a person who deserves to win a free plane ticket and admission to The Orange Conference (ground transportation + lodging not included).  The ReThink Group will then judge the entries and award plane tickets and conference admissions on April 11th to three deserving individuals.  How cool would it be if this competition was flooded with nominations from parents and ministry leaders giving the names and stories of their church’s special needs champions?

Please go onto the The Orange Leaders Blog, read the rules for the competition and TAKE THE TIME TO NOMINATE YOUR CHURCH’S SPECIAL NEEDS CHAMPION (volunteer or paid) to win a free ticket to The Orange Conference!
